The front of my business card was inspired by a moo business card titled fingerprints. It used a more subtle curve design over a gradient. When I get bored, I doodle designs like the one on my card so I also used that for inspiration. I thought that the design looked both creative and slightly graphic at the same time so it fit me well. Due to a bust front, I chose to keep a clean and simple back. I spent a while picking a font to fit in with my logo and felt that a light, rounded sans serif worked well. I added a pop of graphics and color on the back. I chose teal because it was the same color in my logo.

Logo
I started my logo process by looking at vintage logos and doing retro style sketches. Although I love vintage style, I also really like minimalist contemporary style too so I started to lean more towards that style because it fits me better. I chose a super dark charcoal because I wanted sophisticated, but I didn't want a dark black. I chose the white and lime because they contrasted well with the charcoal color. The green also is unique and creative which I thought represented me well. I used a circle for organization but I used a messier font and paint stroke to show creativity and a bit of chaos in the calmness of a charcoal circle.

Article Review
The article was claiming that news reporters can be rude or insensitive at times. They sometimes do not consider feelings of thise being interviewed and only care about the story. The article had good evidence for both sides.

GeoWatch Wrap-Up!
My project is the GeoWatch Traveler. It is a teleportation watch. Just enter the location that you would like to go to and be there within seconds. It is easy to use and works for almost all ages. I think that it would be helpful because it is a faster, safer, easier, environmentally friendly travel.
Commercial
For the commercial, I wrote the script with help from the opinions of the group. I stared in the commercial, along with my whole group. Also, I did split the filming with Jacob. My video was the video my group chose to have on the GeoWatch website and present.
We chose to have a testimonial commercial so that the viewers would get to see how the Traveler may make almost any person's life easier. We also wanted to be able to show how the GeoWatch Traveler is helpful in so many different ways. This commercial makes three points, the Traveler keeps people from being late, is easy to use and worth the money, and is better for the environment than travel by cars, planes, or trains. The Traveler is all about moving forward and getting things done so we chose a fast passed commercial. Our commercial represents what the GeoWatch Traveler is all about.
Graphics
For the graphic design portion, I took on the roles of the advertisement and web banner. For the ad, I wanted to show that instead of going on train, cars, or planes, you can just use the GeoWatch and be there faster, safer, and help the environment. The web banner shows monuments, land marks, and famous buildings, from around the world all together to show how there are no limitations with the GeoWatch.
I made the advertisement by finding an image of a crowded airport and an image of an arm wearing a watch. I photoshopped a sign and a few other minor problems out of the background image so that the text could be easily read. I also had to use photoshop to remove the background from the arm image. Next, I opened both images in illustrator and layer them on each other to look like one image. I then put the beach image on the watch and then added the text and logo in the corner.
I made the web banner in photoshop. I started with a blank gray canvas. Next, I found the landmarks from a series of images showing landmarks in several different countries. I photoshopped the images so that I ended up with just one of two landmarks. I added the landmarks in my banner and put the GeoWatch name in the middle to show the world around GeoWatch.

Reflection
The project helped me be able to put everything I’ve learned this year together.
In the beginning, my team and I each came up with ideas for the product we would pick and sketched the product. We thought up potential ideas for the video, product design, and logo. Then, we voted on which product we wanted to do and got the GeoWatch Traveler. We went over details of the product and then began our work on the graphics. While producing our content we got feedback from each other. When wrapping up details we really listened to what the whole group had to say about our creations and used their ideas to make the content even better.
Next time, I would stay after school to work earlier in the project. Our group ended up finishing, but it was stressful having to do so much work in the last week. I would like to have the same relationship with my group next time. I feel that our group was great with both giving and getting constructive criticism because we understood that nobody was ever trying to be rude.
This project was really neat to show the real-world application of what I learned in e9. It taught me the everyday life of having a job related to e-communication.

What is graphic design?
Graphic design is using words, typography, photos, colors, and other symbols to convey an idea, message, or feeling. The designer must use human phycology to understand how certain things can make the consumer feel. The design is made to fit the product, so it may not be beautiful. Everything in the design is used to convey emotion and beliefs. Graphic design is used to represent the company or product and what they are.
